Welcome to DDH Creates

Founder of DDH Creates, Deja Holmes, is an Atlanta based actor, author, and teaching artist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Theater and Communications from Georgia Southern University. Upon graduation, she began working with the Alliance Theatre as a teaching artist and actor. She is also a harp and theater instructor for the local non profit, Artz for the Harp, that provides music and arts enrichment to students of all ages. As a performer, Deja has entertained in a variety of roles onstage and screen. When Deja is not teaching or performing, she is writing and developing new ways to make theater an interactive, enjoyable, and educational experience for all.  

In November 2022, she was awarded the Stripped Bare Arts Incubator Grant, where she wrote, directed, and co-produced a children's musical based on her children's book, Grams & Me. You may have recently seen her as Amp in Groove in the Galleries with the Alliance Theatre and the High Museum of Art. You can catch her in Theater 1548's upcoming production of the Sister Act on October 4th-6th at Dunwoody United Methodist Church!
